One Hundred Camels

Greetings once again from Marrakech,

As I write this the final night party of the Intrepid tour is going great guns at the Hotel Ali.

It has been a fantastic three weeks and i urge anyone that wants to go somewhere 'different' to think long and hard about Morocco.

But the adventure doesnt end here... oh no!

We are off to Spain, then London, then Poland, then Italy, then Liverpool and finally back to to Glasgow for a big Ceilidh and an even bigger piss up.

Four Months in and the adventure is just getting started!

In other news, i was offered 100 camels for Girlclumsy today in the old slavetrading area of the Marrakech Medina. they were trading in people up til the early 20th Century... fun!

I could really do with 100 camels...

Hey Pater!

Haven't had any of your unique posts here for many a country. Are you still reading this? Girlclumsy and I miss your views :)

Hey Squid-man,

Got your Marrakech postcard today - thanks! My wee rabbit hutch in BSQ is looking very windswept and interesting with your postcards stuck on the back of the "team storage units".

New library opened today - looks fabbo, it all works and the customers love it.

Why am I having Blues Brothers-esque visions of "How much for the leetle girl? How much for your weemen?"

The insertion of "100 camels" into that scene could have been funny...

*Wonders if The Wah will return wearing a cheap suit, skinny black tie and a fedora*

Had you accepted 100 camels in exchange for the devine gc, you would have been well and truly ripped off. Besides, how would you explain them to the customs person? But, all insouciant wah-japes aside, it is very sobering to consider that there was (is?) a time when humans were sold and bought as goods. I arced up a little when I was reminded of that in this post. Blech. Keep well Wah. Girlclumsy. Cheers. ana

Hey Kath,

Glad to hear the pstcard arrived. The tour i was on was laying bets on what arrived where and when.

You would be surprised how little i care about new libraries at this moment ;)

well u know, there is an old chinese saying...

a library is alot like a woman - u can spend hours in one, keep getting told to be quiet, and have no idea where to find what your looking for...

big love

Mawha...mixmaster sounds like travel wah's evil twin. There's a familiar...oh I don't know...je ne sais quoi-ness? ;). Libraries are great. Ditto for women. Here's a tip...failing all else, ask for directions. Cheers. ana

a man will never stop and ask for directions: its part of being a man - its just like driving, and why we have sat nav!! - only, some of us just don't need it! ;-)

as for being g's evil twin, well it was all his bad influence! (yeh ok, even i dont believe that!)

ur right libraries r ok - not had a good book in one though (well, its sounds like "book" anyway - maybe i'm just going to the wrong ones?!)

peace out
